Tudo Djunto Family Luncheon

On October 19th, 2024, Tudo Djunto hosted a family luncheon at restaurante Cesaria.

The luncheon event was an event put together by the Tudo Djuntos members in MCI Norfolk with the support of representative Russell Holmes, iliana Ramirez (founder of meaningful occasions), and leaders in the community. During this event families shared ideas and came up with resolutions to help bring unity, prosperity, and end violence in the cape Verdean, black, and brown communities.

Together families were able to enjoy each other’s company and explore Cesaria’s menu that represents the traditional culinary riches of Cape Verde.

In addition there was a speaker who highlighted the ripple effect of trauma and the lasting impact on the community, ways to heal and take care of ourselves and each other.

The purpose of the event was to bringing together directly impacted families and build upon the unification for us by us and those we love most.
